Cable Fly Reviews

Cable flys are a chest exercise that most people perform on a crossover machine in a gym. However, if you are interested in performing cable flys at home, Amazon sells several different cable machines you can use in your home:

Powerline PCCO90X Cable Crossover

This machine allows you to perform standard cable flys, as well as move the handles to the bottom of the machine and perform an upward cable fly variation. This machine has received 15 reviews, most of which are positive. Comments about the machine include the quality of its metal, the smoothness with which it can be used and the ease of assembling it.  Other positive comments include the speed with which it ships from Amazon, the value it provides for its price and its overall sturdiness during use. The two negative reviews of this product were due to one person receiving the machine without all of its parts, while the other negative reviewer was unhappy with slowly receiving the machine in multiple shipments. The Powerline PCCO90X Cable Crossover sells for $327.

Light Commercial FreeMotion EXT Dual Cable Crossover Machine

This machine is ideal for someone who wants to bring the quality of a gym crossover machine to their home. The machine ensures top of the line exercise smoothness with its large gauge steel tubing. In addition to upward and downward cable flys, this machine is designed to allow you to work out the rest of your body as well. Thanks to the included ankle cuff, this includes your lower body. Because of its high price, only one review has been left on Amazon. The review was five stars, and praised the machine for its quality and durability. The Light Commercial FreeMotion EXT Dual Cable Crossover Machine sells for $2999.

Body Solid Dual Weight Stack Cable Crossover Machine Functional Training Center GDCC200

Upwards and downward cable flys aren't the only type of fly you can do with this machine. If you also purchase an exercise ball, you can use it and the machine to perform lying cable flys. You'll simply put the ball in the middle of the machine, grab each of the handles and then lie back on the ball. This cable fly variation allows you to pull the cables up above your body. Another appealing feature of this machine is the number of options it gives you. Because it includes a 160 pound stack of weights on each side, you will be able to pick the weight that's right for your current strength. You'll also be able to easily increase the weight as you get stronger. This machine currently has two reviews on Amazon. Both of the reviewers gave it 5 stars. Both reviewers mention they've been happily using the machine for several years. The more detailed of the two reviews also mentions that the cables move very smoothly and the machine doesn't have any issues with shaking while it's being used. The Body Solid Dual Weight Stack Cable Crossover Machine Functional Training Center GDCC200 sells for $1775.
